Welcome to Arabian Breeders Network
Achaean Arabians
We are located in historic horse country in Northern Virginia. Our farm is home to three Straight Egyptian stallions sharing the honor of having some of the best bloodlines still available in the US.

Since 1981 we have been involved with Arabians, starting with the purchase of our *Morafic grandson, Harem Shamahsheik. At age 28, Sheik is still going strong and still loves to drive the wagons for community events.

In a recent announcement, the Downs of ALB is moving.. they are leaving the ALB Based Expo NM for greener pastures and a larger race Stadium 20 minutes from ALB.

Richardson announced new renovations for the Race track and Tingley Colluseum. They are now currently Remodeling all the horse barns. They are also considering turning the old race track and Colluseum into a world class Equestrian Center. They are also considering a permanent Amusement park Six Flags Style for the fair along with some expansions for the Largest Flea market in New Mexico including permanent buildings that will feature several buildings available to lease along with some first come first serve buildings for new Flea Market sellers.

All of which would be open to the public 7 days a week.

Imagine having the Nationals in this new world class facility with a 6 Flags a few steps away for the kids and Non Horsey Spouses. A Fabulous Flea market to browse between classes and breaks!

How absolutely exciting for Expo New Mexico.. we have been asking for these facilities for years and it looks like our cries will be answered.. I tell you, Shows that are there now will no doubt have a much bigger crowds

Louisville had a 6 Flags literally walking distance on the same grounds. Anyone know if there were more exhibitors at Louisville then Albuquerque?

Louisville also had a stadium on the grounds and had markets and other points of interest close by.

There are a lot of pros and cons for moving the show to Oklahoma. I think we need to give it a chance, see how it works out and then go from there.

I like the idea of Nationals having 1 location. And Oklahoma is not a bad place to show in Oct. I've showed Morgans since the early 80's and the trip to OKC every year was doable for most of the country. The people in Oklahoma are very horsey and Morgan Nationals, as well as the other breeds that choose to show there, get many spectators from the surrounding population who just come out to watch the horses. What a great way to get new people into the breed!

I would not have wanted to make the trip to Albuquerque every year. I am in GA and Tulsa looks about 9 hour less travel for my ponies than the NM site.

I just found it funny that AFTER the nationals leave they decide.. Hey Let's spruce up the joint! let's build new barns, a world class Equine facility and put in an amusement park.

I am sure the Nationals will be great in OK, it's jsut a longer drive for me! LOL
