I went to Regional's as a spectator only this year and totally enjoyed myself. There is something about being able to go and do whatever you like wink.gif

Since Robert was home babysitting Esquire since I was petrified to leave him with just anyone, he sent me with his camera in tow. So off I went and pretended that I knew how to use the darn thing... laugh.gif Here is what I got smile.gif

This is Virginia Godwin and Gogetter's super super neat gelding, Aul those Socks. I was so thrilled to finally be able to see him and watch his class. What a cool horse he is! And congrats to both Gogetter and Virginia on his win!

This is a lovely Pure Polish filly who did very well both Main Ring and Sport Horse proving the true versatility of our breed. She is owned by Pat and Fritz Paul of VA. We call her Margo wink.gif

And this young lady is Windy Creeks daughter Meagan showing her mare Talismans Lilly. She is a great kid and does a terrific job with her mare both in hand and under saddle. As I understand it, she received a Top 5 in Jr. Horse SHUS after I left yesterday. YIPPEE!!

Not sure what happened to the lighting with these that I took in the coliseum. I did have the flash on. Boy sure would have been so much better if Woodie had been taking these dry.gif This is the Esquire son, Evan Almighty in the PB Sweepstakes class.

Back later on with a few more smile.gif

OMG Gail - you simply have no idea how much Evan looks like Esquire! AND Storm too! Of course I took LOTS of Pictures of them wink.gif And even got a few of them together as well. Check these out and tell me if you can tell which one is which biggrin.gif

Have fun guessing wink.gif

Hey Denise,

Great photos! Careful... it can be addictive... pretty soon you start looking around and imagining things throught the lense of a camera, lol.

p.s. Who was the SH judge in the background? He looks familiar... was it Reynolds?

Denise, you are mean - I will be mortified if I get any of this wrong. I guess none are E. E has longer socks and those cute dots on his blaze. I guess they are EA and Storm. The one with the man is Storm and the other is EA?? Maybe? Shot #5 is Hy Wynds? ???

Is this a trick and they are the same? All I have to work with here is socks!

ahh doubt I'll do much more of the behind the camera stuff. If I do, it will most likely be of our own critters and a few casual shots. Heck - bet if I started pretending that I took good shots and publicly posted photos of others critters I'd have alot of people angry at me smile.gif LOL
We'll just let Woodie be the camera man here at our house. He DOES do a good job smile.gif !!

Here is one more pic I took that I do happen to like. Both the Esquire sons Evan Almighty and Hy Wynds. Love seeing just how much Esquire puts into his babies!

And regarding your Judge question - they traded the Olympic Judge off for this guy who's name is James Lee. He is a Hunter over Fences judge and really did not use any of the Dressage type horses. It was actually kind of a repeat of SHN's when they too used the over fences judge; No comments, etc. And he ended up judging both of the ATH AND the Open SHIH Stallions classes shown on the same day???? Go figure...Interesting method he had in scoring the classes too. He looked at his previous scores for each horse shown previously and repeated EXACTLY the same conformation scores ???? I almost forgot, he did judge the ATH and the JTH Purebreds on the same day too doing exactly the same thing with them. I hear there have been issues with this judge previously doing the same thing at a few of our 'A' shows. Not sure why he was chosen to replace the Olympic Judge??? Still a VERY obvious NEED to have a Hunter (on the Flat) type and a Dressage Judge looking at these horses on two different triangles allowing them to be scored/judged for the type of horse they are by a judge that is knowledgable about that specific discipline and how the horse needs to move to compete successfully?? Kinks to be worked out at some point in the future smile.gif

Hey there Cy - glad you are thinking I did a okay job wink.gif You did have your glasses on when you were looking at em, right??? biggrin.gif The gray filly is actually a 2 year old and is DBA LP Margo (*Goliat x Penkana by *Penitent). I have always loved the Partner lines and with him coming in on this filly's dam side makes it even much more attractive IMO as a future broodmare superstar! She really is stunning!

And yes, quite proud of Mr. E+!!! These colts come from two completely different type mares in pedigree AND conformation and they are unmistakenly Mr. E+'s kids!! He is doing his job very well as a quality breeding stallion. wink.gif

I am still looking thru my cards for even more pics.....in focus enough to share LOL biggrin.gif

HAHAHA, woops, ms. margo, sorry! I should have known, I absolutely worship *Goliat and his get! Soooo many times I have picked out a PP horse that REALLY catches my eye, only to find *Goliat has sired it!
That is an even more incredible, feat, then, denise - for Mr. E. to have sired such plainly stamped foals out of such disparate mares! He really is paying his (soon to be exorbitant) feed bill, isn't he? Kudos!

Aww, thanks for posting the picture of Socks!

Woody looks like his daddy--very VERY nice horse. We all kinda got hosed by the hunter judge in our in-hand classes. Grrrr....
