Boy it was COLD on Sunday...but we went out and worked with Belle...she needed a good grooming, what with all the MUD around from three days straight of rain....the ground feels like a sloppy wet sponge...yuk!

Cheerily too it started snowing! Woke up this am to 1 inch on the ground....well it's looking a lot like Christmas in the NEW YEAR.....nice to see something bright instead of more rain though!

Joe longed Belle, we played with our Xmas gift, a Media Player which records like a nano second of video......have to work on that and see if I can't get the video any clearer/better....



Well off to drink some water and relax before work....have an afghan to finish so I can start finishing another one LOL.

it feels like today!!! 26 degrees out this morning, WOW...finally a little coldness!


Been riding Belle alot since we got our Abetta Western saddle...fits us both well, which is great!

Have a blurry pic taken by the hubby, only reason I'll post it is it is a CANTER photo and BELLE looks good. The blurry thing up on her back, well, me is not what the photo is about lol.

Well we didn't ride long (I have no saddle so it's bareback city here lol) But she was SO good....Didn't put a foot wrong...was very paitent with her mom, which was great!

Took a few laps around the arena, then we hung out in her pasture for awhile...what a wonderful fall day it was today!

What a day...before work I drove out to the barn, slogged through "Michigan September Mud" and brought my burry mare in .....one burr bush in the entire pasture and she finds it....

I longed her for 35 minutes today....and I have never seen her trot like she did today! Holy moly that hidden EP blood came out today...normally if she even approaches that kind of lift she'll break into a canter but she just powered around and around...wowo!

I took her for a walk down the driveway...she skittered around every puddle, snatched at every bit of grass....very ears up, yay, where are we going now kind of attitude! Very cool.....I really really need to get a saddle!

Ok..I'm beat, just back from my job at the Hotel...


Off to bed...

[b]This is my blog for talk about my favorite subject, my purebred DS Major Afire daughter, Belle. Belle has been in our lives since she was 2 years old....I can hardly believe this coming year she'll be 7!!! How the time flies!!

For the first time since I've had her in my life we are really getting to know each other, with no outside influences, etc, just me and her and it's FABULOUS!

With her being stabled right around the corner from my job it makes it easy to run in early to see her, although with the rain and mud lately it's been less conducive....wet muddy horse= bad bareback riding LOL

Still working on gaining confidence back in my riding but that's a whole nother story....

I hope you'll enjoy my journal here and come back often...I'll be updating with photos and stories as much as possible!

Did you know that A person with a Camera must be followed at a whisker's distance??? At least my mare thinks so! haha!
