I've been robbed. I ordered $250 in gold coins fromthe US Mint to use a birthday presents for the nieces and nephews this year and today I received an empty box in the mail. The tape had been loosened on the outside carton and the inside shipping box was cut open and not a coin to be had. Postal carriers are apparently thieves and the the US Mint is too stupid to send a valuabe, easily stolen package, with a signature request. I hold out little hope of getting my money back.

He was about to take a drink from his root beer when he noticed that the man looked hungry, so he offered him a Twinkie. T...

Arabian Type...past And Present?

Jan 18 2012 05:29 AM | Nicole&Reannon in Articles

I didn't want to take the topic of the shrinking gene pool in a completely different direction but the last few posts made me think about a few things that I thought would make a very interesting discussion on it's own. We often talk about cer...

Shrinking Gene Pool

Jan 14 2012 03:51 AM | NIECE in Articles

I've kept this short, as I could go on to ad nauseam. I've been thinking about this topic for several days. There certainly have been more than a few comments about our "shrinking gene pool" and the need for outcross stallions. The re...

Eggs, Embryos & Marketing

Jan 10 2012 11:57 AM | Selket Arabians in Articles

Of all the developments in animal husbandry, I am most astonished by the impact and possibilities of embryo transfer and marketing. It's not that I'm a late-bloomer, or that I've had my head in the sand as science has increased the impact...
